Lorenzo to Make ROC Debut in Bangkok

Newly-crowned MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo will make his Race Of Champions debut later this year, joining motorcycle legend Mick Doohan on-track in Thailand. The Spaniard, who now has two world titles to his name, is excited about testing his skills against stars from the world of four-wheeled motorsport at the annual event.
"2012 has been a fantastic year for me and I can’t think of a better way to finish it off than by taking on the world’s best drivers at the Race Of Champions," said Lorenzo.
"It will be a pleasure to share such a fantastic race with some of the best drivers in the world. It will clearly be a challenge to take them on at their own game but I’ll do my best to get the most out of the extra pair of wheels.
"With Mick Doohan in the field, we will both be aiming to show we can do very well on four wheels too. I hope the public enjoy it and have fun with all of us!"
Lorenzo claimed this year's MotoGP title with one race to spare, securing second place at Phillip Island to prevent Dani Pedrosa from taking the fight down to the wire. This year's ROC event takes place from 14-16 December in the city of Bangkok.
